We are Olympic City USA and have expanded the downtown biking trails to make for an easier commute and healthy lifestyle. There is a 10,000 seat stadium at the city gate which is the home of our Switchbacks soccer team. We are the smallest of the top 5 best cities with a metro population around 688,000 and sit at the base of America’s Mountain, Pikes Peak, where Katherine Lee Bates wrote the song America the Beautiful. We also offer many parks and hiking trails. According to US News & World Reports, Colorado ranks in the top 6 healthiest states.

Employers are moving to our town due to low corporate taxes, sales tax, property tax and state taxes, making our town a desirable location and mild climate, which helps attract the best employees. Some of our employers are Amazon, Ball, Hewlett Packard, Western Forge, Datavail, Denver Rock Island Railroad, Gates Corporation, HomeAdvisor, Jeppesen, Harris Corporation, Lockhead Martin and many more. 

The Colorado Springs Airport is adding new nonstop destinations regularly featuring flights to Las Vegas, LA, Orlando, Chicago, Houston, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Dallas and Washington DC to name a few. 

Of course there is also our Military Bases that employ not just our service men and women but many, many support staff, and GS employees. With the Air Force Academy, Peterson Space Force Base 21st Space Wing, Shriever Space Force Base and Fort Carson Army Base there are a lot of job opportunities. We are also the home of NORAD, North American Aerospace Defense Command in Cheyenne Mountain. 

Because of our many employers and military bases this is also a great place to start a small business.
